Bougainvillea glabra

The petals are usually used in combination with other herbs to make an expectorant tea used in treating coughs and chest congestion.

Alicia’s recipe

Use Only the Red flowers ; they  purify ( clean ) blood. 

Place flowers ( several hands full ) into a liter of clean water. 

Infuse overnight. 

Drink strained water throughout the day.

For coughs   red flowers infused in clean water . 

Add cinnamon, hibiscus flowers ( pink or red ).

Drink infusion throughout the day as needed.
